Description
Kevington Hall is a late 18th-century mansion with a half H-plan and 19th-century additions located on Crockenhill Road in St Mary Cray. The building has three storeys and is constructed of red brick. It features a painted string course above the first floor and a painted cornice, along with a brick parapet. The windows are surrounded by painted and moulded architraves, with intact glazing bars. The ground and first-floor windows have cornices above them.
The west front showcases five windows, with the central window being tripartite. It also includes a large porch supported by twin Doric engaged columns, with narrow windows between the columns and on each side, adorned with a triglyph frieze and a pediment. The south front has seven windows and a curved bay of three windows at the center on all floors. Flanking this bay are stuccoed projections on the ground floor, each containing a panelled tripartite window flanked by panelled pilasters.
Inside, the staircase is modern, but one room features walls divided into panels by enriched mouldings, while another room boasts a well-crafted ceiling cornice.
