Description

The Former Victoria Maternity Hospital is a three-bay house built in the 18th century, which was later refronted in early 19th century stucco to create a symmetrical seven-bay facade. The building has two storeys and features sash windows with glazing bars. It displays extensive flat moulding, with drafting on the ground storey and framing pilaster strips. The central bay is slightly advanced and is topped with a pediment, beneath which is a coupled pilaster porch. The building has a parapet with a cornice and retains its 18th-century slate roof. At the rear, there is a three-storey canted bay.
