Description
The Vicarage, built in the William and Mary Georgian style, was designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. It follows the Wren plan, featuring a recessed center flanked by side wings. The building is two storeys high with dormers. The central entrance has a wooden doorcase designed in stone, topped with a broken pediment, and there is a balustraded parapet above. The ground storey of the wings has camber arched windows, while a brick niche is located on the first storey of the wings. The recessed center has three window bays, with the middle bay being blank. Each wing has one dormer above it. The structure is constructed of silver grey and purple bricks, accented with red brick dressings, and features a moulded wooden eaves cornice. On the south-east return elevation, there are three windows on the ground floor, all with camber heads, and three dormers. The north-west elevation has five windows on the ground floor, three on the first floor, and also three dormers.
