Description
Garden Hill, dating from around 1730 with later alterations, is a two-storey building constructed of pink brick and topped with a late green slate mansard roof. The façade features four large windows on the first floor, a glazed porch, and a high parapet with two semi-circular dormers. On the south side, there is a one-window block that includes a Venetian window. The garden front has been altered, except for the wing that contains the Venetian window. Inside, notable features include a pine panelled hall with a carved overmantel and a well-designed stairhall with plasterwork and a staircase featuring twisted balusters on each step, both of which are original to the house. Attached to the north is a service building that is also two storeys tall and has four windows.
