Description

Rose Cottage (No 74) is an early 18th-century red brick house, built partly on the remains of an earlier timber frame. The house has undergone recent substantial reconstruction, including a new roof, but retains much of its original external brickwork and timber framing. It is three bays wide, with two main storeys, and features a projecting band at the first floor level. The windows are wood casements set within axed cambered arches. A modern hood covers the off-centre entrance door. The roof is tiled with overhanging eaves and incorporates hipped dormers.
