Description
The gatehouses are located at the north entrance to St Pancras and Islington Cemetery, built around 1853. They flank the entrance and consist of two L-shaped blocks, mirroring each other, constructed from ragstone with ashlar window surrounds and quoins. The roofs are slate, with copings and tall stacks. The gatehouses are two storeys high with gable attics. They feature sash windows. Flat-roofed extensions to the rear are not considered to be of particular architectural interest. The gatehouses are part of a group value context with the cemetery chapel.
