Description

Murray House is a two-storey building located at right angles to Hammers Lane in Mill Hill, NW7. It features a symmetrical facade with two sets of two windows and is currently finished in whitened cement beneath a slate roof. The main front faces the garden, while the rear is irregular, including a projecting wing and a door. A plaque on the building commemorates Sir James Murray, who lived here from 1870 to 1885 and was the founder and editor of the Oxford English Dictionary.
