Description
Belmont is an early 19th-century large mansion built of yellow brick and consisting of three storeys. The facade features a symmetrical arrangement of windows with one window on each end and three in the centre, topped by a dentilled pediment above the central section. There are stone or stucco embellishments throughout. The ground and first floors include a flat segmental bow in the centre, which is covered by a hooded canopy over a modified Doric porch that has been glazed. A conservatory is located at the south-west end of the building. Inside, there are notable features, including a delicate oval plaster ceiling in the Adam style. There are also long, modern Neo-Georgian wings to the north-east, which are not considered of special interest.
