Description
Featherstone House is a late 17th century or early 18th century house that was refronted in the mid-18th century. It is two storeys high and features three windows, constructed from brick with a brick band and a parapet. The roof is tiled and has two hipped dormers, with gable-ended sides. The doorcase is moulded, with rusticated sides and a dentilled flat hood supported by brackets, along with a flat-carved (modern) overdoor. The house has 18th century glazing throughout and includes a one-storey painted brick and tiled coachhouse wing to the left. The garden front is made of red brick and has two full-height splayed bays with three windows each, also featuring a band and parapet. This is a well-crafted and simple house that has been recently renovated with skill and care.
