Description

Nicoll's Almshouses were built in the 17th century and funded by Thomas Nicoll, a local gentleman. The structure consists of a range of eight single-storey almshouses, each with one window, constructed from brick and topped with a long red tiled roof. There is a board located between Nos. 3 and 4 that features an inscription and the date. Most of the windows are modern lead casements set within wood mullions. The almshouses were restored in 1893 and contribute to a picturesque village group.
