Description

Blenheim Steps is a late 18th-century two-storey red brick building situated on High Street, Mill Hill. The walls rise as a parapet with stone coping, topped by a steep-pitched, new tile hipped roof punctuated by four renewed dormers. The front is symmetrical, featuring six windows on the first floor, each with recessed sash windows retaining their original glazing bars and cambered arches. The ground floor has four similar windows, with two on each side of a central feature consisting of two large bow windows. These bow windows retain their original glazing bars, deep friezes, and moulded cornices, and may have been reset. A modern timber door is centrally positioned, with a rectangular fanlight displaying a diagonal glazing pattern. A ground floor window to the right of the right-hand bow window has been placed within a blocked archway. The symmetrical south elevation has three windows. Modern extensions have been added to the rear.
