Description

This is a terrace of houses located in Wilton Street, City of Westminster. The buildings date from the early 19th century and have been altered since their original construction. They are built of yellow brick, with the ground floor finished in stucco. The central pair and the end houses have been built slightly forward. The terrace is four storeys high with a basement, though numbers 19 and 21 have an additional storey, and number 22 has a mansard roof. Each house is generally two windows wide, with the exception of numbers 16 and 23, which have three windows. The entrances are mainly square headed, although numbers 17, 18, 21 and 22 have round heads and decorative fanlights at numbers 17 and 18. The end houses have round headed windows on the ground floor. The remaining windows are square headed sashes, some with glazing bars. Some first-floor windows are French casements with cast iron glazing bars. A stucco cornice runs above the third floor. The end houses have pedimented crests to their parapets, and the property is protected by spearhead area railings.
