Description
Smiths Court is a mews building dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stock brick and features a slated roof. The building has two storeys and a five-bay facade facing Smiths Court. The central entrance is segmental arched and includes late 20th-century glazing. Above the entrance, there is a central bay with a brick pediment and an attached hoist, along with a door leading to a hayloft on the first floor. The outer bays have giant segmental reveals that rise two storeys. The first-floor windows are segmental headed sashed windows that still retain their glazing bars. Inside, the courtyard retains a horse ramp and a gallery that serves the upper level stabling.
