Description
The Raven Cage is an ornamental cage located in the Zoological Gardens of Regent's Park, built around 1827 by Decimus Burton for the Zoological Society. It is made of cast and wrought iron and features a picturesque octagonal shape with a tented top and a finial. Decimus Burton was responsible for landscaping the gardens and designing the original zoo buildings for the Society between 1826 and 1841, drawing inspiration from the Paris Jardin des Plantes.
