Description
Nine lamp standards located from outside the Citadel to the junction with George Street were constructed around 1910. These lamp standards are made of cast iron and feature a tall shaft that has a design unique to Royal Parks. Each lamp standard has a large tapered square base, a fluted shaft, and an elongated octagonal lantern with beveled edge glass panes and a crown finial. Some of the lamp standards are monogrammed with "G.V.R."
