Description
The K6 Telephone Kiosk is a standardised design made from cast iron and painted red. It has a square plan and stands approximately 2.4 meters tall. The door and side panels feature eight horizontal glazed panels, with vertical marginal glazing bars. Above the glazing, there are rectangular signs that read ‘TELEPHONE’, and cast iron crowns are applied above, beneath the shallow Soanian domed roof. This kiosk is located to the east of Trafalgar Square and has a strong relationship with many highly-graded listed buildings nearby.
