Description
Nos 1 to 4 Hobart Place are terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of stucco and feature slate mansard roofs, except for No 2. The houses stand three storeys high, with an attic and basement. Most have two windows, while No 1 has four windows across the front and is distinguished by giant Corinthian fluted pilasters on the first floor, with the left bay set back. The ground floors have channelling, and the entrances and windows are square-headed, except for the ground floor windows of No 1, which are round-headed. The windows are sashes, some with glazing bars, and there are French casements on the first floor with iron balconies. Nos 2 to 4 feature a Greek key design. There is a cornice above the second floor, with modillions present on No 1, and a subsidiary cornice at the attic level. The area is enclosed by spearhead railings.
