Description

The Abbey Precinct railings, located to the west of the Abbey and at the east end of Abbey Close, date from the 17th and 18th centuries, with sections in Abbey Close added around 1882 by either J.L. Pearson or W.D. Caröe. These railings are made of cast iron and feature decorative strapwork standards topped with urn finials.
