Description

This mid-19th century house, formerly the Station Master's House or offices for Grosvenor Road Station, appears on the Ordnance Survey Map of 1869. Constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings, it has a slate hipped roof. The house is two storeys high and three windows wide, with a three-window return. It has a square plan. The ground floor windows are round-headed, set within round-headed reveals, and feature prominent keystones. A console cornice sits above the ground floor. The first floor windows are also round-headed, with stone surrounds and cornices, and are topped by a console cornice. A blocked entrance is located to the left. The roof is hipped, and a central slab chimney is present.
