Description

This is a row of four terraced houses located on the south side of Warwick Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a visible basement and attic, and are arranged over four storeys. Each house has a tripartite window arrangement. The outer houses slightly project forward and feature rusticated quoins. Each house has a projecting Doric porch with a triglyph frieze, and a panelled front door. A balustraded balcony is present on the first floor. Ionic columns frame the tripartite windows on the first floor. Plaster arches surround the windows on the second and third floors. The centre window of each house is pedimented on the first and second floors. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, except for the French casement on the first floor. A subsidiary cornice is located above the third floor, and a console cornice above the fourth. Cast iron area railings with a spearhead design are present. A return wall is visible on the left side. The houses are an integral part of the planned layout of Warwick Square.
