Description
Former number 13, now part of number 16, Bell Yard is an office building constructed between 1859 and 1860, with a rear extension added in 1874 by William Elsdon. The building features polychrome brickwork with some stone dressings. It is one bay wide and two rooms deep, with a staircase, and stands four storeys tall beneath a slate roof. The ground floor includes a timber shop front with iron lozenge panes in the top lights. The first floor has a single four-light window, while the second floor features a pair of sash windows under pointed gauged-brick heads. The top floor is distinguished by a five-light window beneath a roundel in the gable.
