Description

The walls, railings, and lamps in front of the Public Record Office were built between 1891 and 1896 as part of the extension designed by Sir John Taylor. The structure features rock-faced Portland stone with ashlar dressed walls, topped with ornate Gothic wrought iron railings. Gothic-style lamps are positioned over the piers.
