Description
Eighteen lamp-posts, numbered 1 to 18 consecutively, were constructed around 1827 to 1829. These lamp-posts feature cast iron standards with squared bases that are inscribed with the cipher of King George IV. The upper part of each standard is adorned with a tulip design and includes a mid-19th century heightening topped with lanterns of the Rochester type.
