Description

This is a row of terraced houses located on the east side of St George’s Square, dating to around 1860. The houses are constructed of stucco, with the roof hidden from view. They are five storeys high and consist of two main bays each. Each house has a projecting porch with a Doric design and a triglyph frieze. Panelled doors provide access to the properties. Each house features a canted bay window that extends from the basement to the second floor. A balustraded balcony is positioned above the ground floor, and a further balustrade is present above the first floor. Alternate first-floor windows are topped with pediments. The windows are sash windows, with plate glass. French casements are found on the first floor. The third-floor windows are detailed with cornices. A console cornice adorns the building, and it is surrounded by cast iron area railings.
