Description
A terrace of twenty-five houses on Gillingham Street in Westminster, dating circa 1830. The buildings are constructed of yellow brick, with a hidden roof. They are arranged as three storeys, with each house originally two windows wide. The terrace presents a symmetrical facade, featuring the central pair of houses and numbers 3 and 25 set forward slightly. A pediment sits above the central pair. Ground floor shops occupy each building except for numbers 3 and 21. The windows are square-headed sashes with gauged heads and some retained glazing bars. The central pair of houses have arched reveals to the first-floor windows and incorporate an extra shared bay. A parapet runs along the roofline, featuring a pedimental fascia above numbers 3 and 25. Number 1 has been substantially reconstructed.
