Description
The Statue of a Shepherdess is located in St John's Lodge Garden, north of the Hylas Fountain in Regent's Park, London. This statue, created in 1931 by the artist C. L. Hartwell R.A., depicts a woman carrying a lamb and a staff. It is made of bronze and stands on a Portland stone base with a granite plinth. The inscription on the statue honors Gertrude and Harold Baillie Weaver and acknowledges the support of the National Council for Animals' Welfare and the sculptor. The statue is positioned at the northern point of the circular garden surrounding the Hylas Fountain.
