Description

This is a row of houses at 2-8 Lupus Street, located in the City of Westminster, dating to around 1840. The properties are constructed of stucco, with a slate mansard roof on number 8; the roofs of the other houses are not visible. The row is four storeys high, with each house originally featuring two windows, except for number 2 which has three and is slightly lower in height. Modern plate glass shop fronts occupy the ground floor. The upper floors have square-headed windows set within stucco architraves; the first-floor windows have pediments, while the second-floor windows have cornices. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A stucco balcony is present on the first floor of numbers 6 and 8. The building has a cornice and parapet. The buildings are included on the list for their group value with the houses located in nearby St George’s Square.
