Description
Nos. 9 to 19 Bessborough Street form a terrace of houses dating to around 1850. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with roofs not visible. Each house is double-fronted, presenting three windows across a four-storey elevation. The ground floor features channelled detailing. An entrance is positioned slightly off-centre, and is emphasised by a projecting porch with a Doric design and a triglyph frieze. Balustraded balconies are present on the first floor. The windows are square-headed, with architraves above the ground floor. Cornices delineate the first and second floors. The windows are sash windows, with plate glass, and French casements to the first floor. A console cornice is located above the third floor. Cast iron area railings run along the front of the terrace.
