Description

No 34 York Terrace West is a Grade I listed terraced town house, now divided into flats, built around 1824-1826 by John Nash as part of the Regent's Park Crown Estate development. The building is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. It is set back in a balanced composition with Nos 35 to 47, but has a distinct facade with the entrance located at the rear. The house has four storeys, including an attic storey, and is three windows wide. The ground floor is channelled stucco with sash windows that are recessed for one order. The first floor features semicircular arched windows, while the upper floor windows are adorned with architraves. There is a cornice above the ground floor and a main cornice below the attic storey, which includes a cornice and blocking course. The first floor is decorated with anthemion patterned cast iron balconettes.
