Description

This is a row of houses numbered 34 to 44 Chester Row in the City of Westminster, dating from the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow brick, with the ground floor faced in channelled stucco. The roofs are not visible. Each entrance features a semicircular head, as do the ground floor windows. They have panelled doors and mostly use sash windows with glazing bars, set within square, gauged-headed surrounds. The first floor windows are set within blind semicircular reveals and are complemented by cast iron balconettes with an anthemion pattern. Parapets run along the top of the building, and cast iron area railings are present outside.
