Description

This is a terraced house dating from the early to mid-18th century, located on the north-west side of Ebury Street in the City of Westminster. The house is constructed of red stock brick with red dressings and has a tiled roof. The ground floor is stuccoed. It is three storeys high, with a basement, and has a width of three windows. A square-headed entrance, with an architrave, is located on the left, leading to a panelled door. The ground floor windows are square-headed, with segmental arches above them. These windows have flush framed sashes and glazing bars. A brick band is positioned above the first floor. The house is topped with a parapet. The interior has not been inspected. Spearhead area railings are present. A London County Council plaque commemorates Mozart, who composed his first symphony at the house in 1764, which is the principal reason for its Grade I group value. It is one of a pair of matching houses, together with No. 182.
