Description
East Lodge is located in the corner of Crescent Gardens and was built in 1812 by John Nash as part of his Regent's Park development. This Grade II listed lodge is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. It is a single-storey, four-square Greek Doric pavilion that balances its twin lodge to the west, positioned at the junction with Marylebone Road. Each face of the lodge has either a window or a doorway, with recessed glazing bar sashes and a doorway framed by Greek Doric columns in antis. A continuous entablature with shallow pediments is set against a blocking course over each aediculed face. The design is identical to the lodges found in Park Square.
