Description
These cast-iron forecourt railings date from approximately 1823 to 1825 and belong to numbers 1, 2, and 3 Albany Terrace on the north side of Marylebone Road. The railings are ornamented with decorative finials shaped as tassels, spearheads, urns, and pineapples. A central entrance, on the north side, features a wrought-iron lamp overthrow incorporating a scroll design. The group value stems from their contribution to the architectural character of Albany Terrace.
