Description

A row of houses dating from the early 19th century, located on Lower Belgrave Street in Westminster. The houses are constructed of brick with channelled stucco detailing to the ground floor. The roofs are not visible. The row comprises four storeys, with Nos 16 to 44 generally two windows wide, and No 46 being five storeys. There are arched entrances and ground-floor windows, each with a fanlight. Projecting Doric porches are present at Nos 30 to 42, with No 16 featuring a shop at ground floor level. First-floor iron balconies were likely added in the 20th century to Nos 34 to 44. The windows are sash windows, some with original glazing bars; some first-floor windows are French casements. Nos 16, 28, and 30 retain some stucco architraves. Iron area railings are also present.
