Description
This is a row of houses numbered 63 to 77 on St George’s Square in the City of Westminster, built in the mid-19th century. The facades are stuccoed, with roofs hidden from view. The houses are five storeys high, with a basement level, and each is two windows wide. The ground floor features channelled detailing. Projecting porches are supported by square piers, and contain panelled doors. A continuous balustraded balcony runs along the first floor. The windows are square-headed with architraves above the ground floor, pediments above the first floor, and cornices above the second and third floors. Most of the original sash windows with glazing bars remain; however, the first floor windows are French casements. A console cornice sits above the fourth floor. Steps lead to the entrances, which are complemented by cast iron area railings.
