Description

This is a terrace of six properties built in the early 19th century on Shouldham Street in the City of Westminster. The buildings are constructed of brown brick, with some areas painted and stuccoed ground floors. The roofs are largely hidden, though No. 7 has a later Welsh slate mansard roof. Each property is two bays wide and has three storeys over a basement.

Entrances are round-arched, some with six-panel doors and fanlights, and are set beneath gauged brick arches. The windows are sash windows, some with glazing bars, and are set within gauged brick flat arches on the ground floor. A band runs across the first floor, though it is not continuous. First-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars or casements, and are also set under flat gauged brick arches. Some properties have iron balconies. Second-floor windows are also sash windows with glazing bars, again under flat gauged brick arches. Iron railings run along the basement level.
