Description

The cast iron lamp standard at the Royal Hospital and Home for Incurables dates from around 1850 to 1880. It features a hexagonal plinth with embossed panels that supports a fluted column, which has a ladder bar bolted to the necking. At the top, there is a hexagonal glazed lamp house adorned with anthemion cresting and a convex cap.
