Description

Nos 30 and 32 on Alie Street, built in the early 18th century, are notable examples of stock brick architecture featuring parapets. The facade of No 30 is painted, while No 32 has a pantiled roof, and No 30 has a tiled roof. There is a band between the first and second floors. The buildings are three storeys high with three windows. No 30 has modern casements fitted into the original openings, whereas No 32 features flush sash windows with glazing bars, all topped with gauged flat brick arches. The ground floor includes shop fronts, with No 32 having an advanced front and a small flat hood over the door. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 28 to 44 (even) and Nos 9 to 25 (odd).
