Description
The area railings at No 12 Fournier Street are from the early 18th century, with the facade rebuilt around 1800. The building is made of stock brick and features a slate and pantiled roof, along with a weatherboarded attic. It has three storeys, a basement, and an attic, with two windows under red brick gauged flat arches. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and those on the ground floor include margin lights. The entrance has a red gauged semi-circular arch with stuccoed concave quadrant reveals, a fanlight with tracery, and a six-panelled door. The area railings are also present. This building is part of a group that includes the Great Synagogue, Nos 1 to 39 (odd), Nos 2 to 20 (even), and No 84 (The Ten Bells Public House), as well as Christ Church on Commercial Street, and Nos 57 and 59 Brick Lane, and No 2 Wilkes Street.
