Description

The gate piers at Bonner Hall, dating from the 19th century, are notable architectural features located between Victoria Park and Sewardstone Road. There are four massive gate piers, each with a square center made of red brick, flanked by double white stone rusticated pilasters. Each pier is topped with a large stone cap that has paired scroll brackets on either side. The piers also have domed heads that once supported iron bases for lamps. These gate piers serve as a prominent termination to the view from Approach Road, which includes several listed buildings.
