Description
No 43A on Commercial Street, built in 1841, was formerly a Jewish Infant School and is now used for commercial purposes. The building is constructed of yellow brick and features a stucco eaves cornice and blocking course with moulded coping. It has two storeys and five windows in the central section. The first-floor windows are round-arched with moulded stucco architraves and impost bands, while the ground floor has stucco pilasters and an entablature with a cornice, frieze, and architraves. The entrance door is located to the north, and there is a recessed one-bay side wing to the south with modern windows above the ground floor. Inside, plain round-headed arches divide the rooms.
