Description
The railings at No 6 Paradise Row date from the early 19th century. This building was probably originally one house or one of a pair with No 5. It features brown brick construction with a ground floor that has channelled stucco. There is a string course at the sill height of the first floor and rusticated quoins on the north side. The building has a stucco eaves cornice and a blocking course. It stands three storeys tall with a basement and has two windows. The windows are sashes with vertical glazing bars, except for the modern glazing on the ground floor. The first and second-floor windows have architraves, and the first-floor windows also feature bracketed pediments. The ground floor includes a round-arched door and window, with the door set in a double recessed arch and panelled with a semi-circular fanlight. The iron railings have urn and spearhead finials. Nos 2 to 11 form a group behind Bethnal Green Gardens.
