Description
No. 13, Park Street is a house built in 1831 by Henry Rose. It is a brick building in Flemish bond, constructed over three storeys and originally featuring a two-window front. A shop front, characteristic of the mid to late 19th century, was added to the ground floor to match those of the neighbouring properties at Nos 1-11. All the window and door openings are flat-arched, with the upper-floor windows having gauged brick lintels. The interior has not been inspected. The house was built to generate income for Thomas Cure’s almshouses, which were located to the rear and accessible through the gap between Nos 11 and 13.
