Description

This is a terrace of six houses located on Trafalgar Avenue. They were built between 1851 and 1852. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings, featuring stucco banded rustication on the ground floor, and have a low-pitched slate roof. Each house is two bays wide and has three storeys and a basement. They have round-arched pilaster doorways, which recess to reveal the doors. The ground floor features tripartite casement windows with cast-iron guards to projecting sills. The first-floor sash windows have moulded stucco architraves with cornices and panelled aprons, while the second-floor sash windows have segmental-headed arches and moulded sill strings. A patterned band runs above the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected. The terrace forms a group with the Lord Nelson Public House and the properties at numbers 16 to 64 (even) on the same street.
