Description
The White House is a building located on the north side of Old Kent Road in Southwark, constructed in 1800 by Michael Searle for his own use as a house and office, and is now used solely as an office. The structure is made of stucco and features a swept hipped slate roof. It is set back from the road and consists of two storeys with four bays, along with a one-storey, one-bay extension to the left that contains an entrance in a square-headed recess with a key. The building has sash windows with glazing bars set in plain reveals and deep, overhanging eaves. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, it was built as Searle's own house and office.
