Chest tomb with related headstone to Prince Lee Boo. Dated 1784. Yellow brick, rectangular tomb with Portland stone, scalloped headstone at one end and inscribed Portland stone ledger. HISTORY: erected by the Hon. East India Company in memory of Prince Lee Boo of the Pelew Islands, whose father had treated the shipwrecked crew of the East Indiaman Antelope' with kindness in 1738. Lee Boo returned to London with Captain Wilson of the Antelope' who is commemorated on the headstone, and died of smallpox. The inscription ends, "Stop, reader, stop, let Nature shed a tear / A prince of mine, Lee Boo, lies buried here".
