Description
The Church of St Andrew (Presbyterian) was built in 1882 and features a square design made of snecked random rubble masonry with freestone dressings. It is styled in the Early English manner, characterized by stepped lancet windows above paired lancet windows, all with hoodmoulds. The church has buttresses between the bays and a slated roof. The large double entrance is located at the west, topped by three tall lancet windows. A square tower at the south-west corner is crowned with a tall stone spire, which has stepped angle turrets with spirelets. In the upper stage of the tower, there are two-light bell openings flanked by blank arches. There are also one-storey additions to the east.
