Description
Hill House, located at No. 64 Honor Oak Road, is an early 19th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of brick and features two storeys with a two-window layout on the left side, which has a plain design and a stone-coped parapet. The original sash windows have been replaced with new ones that include glazing bars. To the right, there is a crude porch with a dentil cornice, and a small window has been inserted on either side of this porch. The right part of the building has three windows and is adorned with a stucco entablature, also featuring a dentil cornice and a blocking course. The replaced sash windows here have shouldered, moulded architraves, with those on the ground floor having console bracketed cornices. The ground floor windows are barred, and a garage door has been inserted on the right side. It is said that this house was once the residence of the Duke of Clarence. Hill House is part of a group with Nos 62 and 64.
