Description
The Livesey Memorial Hall Boundary Wall was built in 1911 and is located to the west of the Livesey Memorial Hall, which serves as a recreation hall for employees of the South Suburban Gas Company. The wall is constructed from London stock brick, featuring red brick borders and capped with Ruabon terracotta.
This wall marks the western boundary of the hall and the adjacent bowling green to the north, while also enclosing the war memorial situated in the hall's forecourt. It is designed with sections divided by panelled piers topped with shallow pyramidal caps. Each section has a curved coped top, with the sections adjacent to the entrance-way rising to support volutes that flank the taller gate piers. The double iron gates are made by Macfarlane and Co of Glasgow.
