Description
Nurses Home to Hostel of God is a late 18th century stock brick building with early to mid-19th century alterations, located on the north side of Clapham Common. The structure mostly consists of three storeys and a basement, although No 30 features a two-storey right extension with three bays. The front has a parapet and the windows are adorned with gauged flat brick arches, with some featuring glazing bars. Each entrance has a four-panel door.
No 30 has three windows and a slated mansard roof with dormers, along with a Doric porch. No 31 has five windows, one of which is wider than the others, and also features a slated mansard roof with dormers. Its doorcase is decorated with engaged columns that have foliated capitals and a dentil cornice. No 32 stands out with a projecting ground floor canted bay and two doors; one door has a radial fanlight and the other has a patterned fanlight, both set under round gauged brick arches. There is a set brick left extension as well.
